Cookie Policy

Last updated: 8 August 2026

A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device. We use as few as we can. Nothing in the analytics or marketing categories is set until you agree to it — if you choose “Reject all”, only the strictly necessary cookies below are used.

The categories we use

• Strictly necessary (always on) — Keeps you signed in, remembers this cookie choice and protects forms from abuse. The site cannot work without these, so they cannot be switched off.
• Analytics (only with your consent) — Tells us which cars and pages people look at, so we know what stock to buy and what to fix. Never used to identify you personally.
• Marketing (only with your consent) — Lets us show you our cars on other websites and measure whether our advertising works.

The strictly necessary cookies in detail

• carfix-auth-token — keeps a member of staff signed in to the admin area. Expires when the session ends.
• carfix_cookie_consent — remembers the choice you made on the cookie banner, so we do not ask again. Expires after six months.

Changing your mind

You can change your choices at any time, and withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may stop working if you block the necessary ones.
